Call me Mubs everyone else does. I've been tinkering with computers since I was about 8 years old, and started building websites in 1995.
At the beginning of my career I worked mostly with Internet startups in San Francisco and New York, but for the last seven years I have been a fulltime employee of AREA 17, an interactive agency where I am a Technical Director.
For the last nine years I have been living in New York's Tech Valley with my wife Robin and 2 daughters.
The appeal of startups has stayed with me through the years on consutling, and I have started the process of bootstrapping some exciting new projects with the help of some very talented folks.
Launched in May 2012 and co-written with my good friend Jack McDade, Statamic fits a wonderful niche, somewhere in between Wordpress & Perch, and ExpressionEngine. A database-less CMS for sites small and large.
My first iPhone/iPad application now available in the AppStore, helps you find tv shows with new episodes faster and easier than ever.
With more in the works, watch this space...
Until late last year, I worked mostly on Windows based machines. Yes most of the time the server was running Unix or Linux, but I developed almost exclusively on Windows.
For the past 10 months I've been developing on a MacBook Air. It is easily the best laptop that I have ever owned.
I'm not usually too far from my smartphone, sadly webOS based phones are no longer an option, but I've been very happy with my Samsung Galaxy SIII. For the first time I believe Apple is playing catchup in the smartphone market.
You'll find some aweome photographs in this website, which weren't taken by me. I found them after scouring Flickr for a few hours, they are of some of the cities I've lived in:
